A: What The Fur is a fan-run convention, that will hold it's inaugural event on the weekend of June 4-6, 2009 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada

A: Yes! We will need you to have a waiver signed by your parent(s) or guardian for legal reasons, but you are more than welcome to atend WTF?.

A: The Formula 1 races are slated to be held in Montreal in the summer of 2010. At this point they have already chosen their date, and so we have already modified our calendar. There is, therefore, no conflict.

A: WTF? has a rating of AA-14 on all its premises. This concerns both attendee behavior as well as all material sold. This specifically excludes any R and above material in the art show and on display in the dealers room. We understand that creativity knows no bounds, but we want to ensure that guests of any age can safely visit the convention. Some attendees may be used to a different culture found at other conventions, but we ask everyone to respect this rule.

A: Our Dealers Room is really a combination of a traditional Dealer's Room and an Artists' Alley. Most of the Dealers are individual artists who are selling items they created themselves, so we keep all artists together, pro, semipro, and amateur. This fosters an environment of teamwork, sharing, and learning. When you reserve a table, you do not have to stay at your table all the time; you can leave to check out the rest of the convention, but we ask that you make a general commitment to being at your table on a regular basis and taking your position in the room seriously.

A: We certainly do! On Friday night we host a meet-and-greet, a dance on Saturday night, a Masquerade, and on the Sunday evening following the convention, we hold a Dead Dog Party.

A: We'd love that! Soon we will have a page for your to submit your request for a panel, but if you have any questions, please contact our programming director at [email protected] with your idea.

A: No, you can register at the door. Registration will be available on Friday morning before the convention begins, and throughout most of the time the convention is open. However, if you register at the door, you will have to pay a slightly higher rate than if you pre-register.

A: WTF? Is striving to be fully bilingual. Partly owing to thje fact that we are located in Montreal, but also as we are a Canadian convention.

A: No, but if you do it will be an asset. Signage in Montreal is primarily in french, but restaurants and stores, especially in the downtown area, speak both English and French.

A: The drinking age is 18 in Quebec, but please remember to drink in moderation, and try not to overdo it.
