Rules and Guidelines
Wow! A dance competition! How do I sign up? When? Where?
- We very much prefer that all those wishing to participate sign up in advance using the form to the right. However, you will be able to sign up at the convention itself during the preparation session prior to the event. Just be sure to bring your music!
Do I need a fursuit?
- We are accepting entries both for fursuit and non-suited dancers. Group performances will be accepted as well. There will be no separation in the competition, nor in the judging. This event is inclusive to all.
How do I get you my music? What music is acceptable?
- Entrants to the competition who sign up with the form to the right will be contacted prior to the convention and requested to provide their music in advance. If you are unable to provide your music beforehand, you must bring it to us during the preliminary session prior to the event on some physical medium. Note: We will not be able to download your music from an online source at the convention itself.
- Please be sure to keep your musical selection under 4 minutes in length, or it will be faded out at the 4 minute mark. Also, please ensure your music adheres to the convention's PG-13 rating. Failure to adhere to the rating will result in immediate disqualification.
Where do I need to be after I've signed up and when?
- All participants are to attend the preparation session in the main events room, which will take place an hour prior to the dance competition. You won't be required to stay the full hour, this is just to check in and ensure you'll be there at the competition, sign up for the event if you haven't already and provide us your music.
How will we be judged?
- Performances will be judged by a panel of three and will be relatively informal. Competitors will be scored from 1-5 and these will be added up to determine the winner of the competition.
