What The Fur NEEDS YOUR HELP!
WTFur is directed by furries, which means that we are all volunteers.
Are you interested in giving us a paw?
You can help the convention in many ways, for example:
- Setup/Tear down – Thursday night and Monday morning.
- Badges – Making sure nobody enters con space without a member's badge.
- Gophering – Doing errands, fetch last minute materials, etc.
- Art Room – Making sure nobody takes pictures or touches the artwork.
- Fursuit Handler – Looking out for fursuiters in case they go the wrong way or bumps into something.
- Dealer's Room – Help setting things up and help distribute meals to dealers and their assistants
- Panel Rooms – Making sure all rooms have water, help set up panel rooms and many other things!
REWARDS/PERKS
We are currently on a tight budget, a VERY tight budget! But we have small gifts to offer to our volunteers as well as free snacks during your shifts. We still can't say everything we'll have to offer, but there will be something for you.
- Get in 30 minutes early before the dealers room opens!*
- Priority seating at major convention events such as opening ceremonies, chocolate social, etc.
- Skip registration line! What's that? You want to volunteer? We'll register you right away and send you to operations for the details!
*Not all artists might be present or ready 30 minutes in advance.
HOW?
To offer your services, mention it at the registration table after having registered and having the chance to look up the conbook. Let our Volunteer Coordinator or Operations directors know when you are available so they can register you as such.
If you are planning to register for volunteers via email, fill up the form below! The difference? Your schedule will be already done and on top of that, you will have better chances of getting the schedule that you want!
NOTE: All our volunteers must be already registered at the convention. Even our staff!
