The countdown to the convention is picking up pace! In a little over a month, the festivities will begin.
And with that come a few deadlines, the most important of which is the deadline to save!
What Thine Fur's pre-registration period comes to a close at midnight on July 7th. As of 12:01 on the 8th, a few things will happen:
- Regular and Sponsor Membership prices will go up by $5
- Patron and Philanthropist memberships will not longer be available
- Participation in the BEGE gastronomical dinner will no longer be available
Will it still be possible to register for the convention between the 8th and the 28th? Of course! However, payments will only be accepted at-door or by Interac email transfer (for Canadian residents only). Please email us at registration@whatthefur.ca for information as this is a manual process.
So register now for your last chance in taking part in What the Fur, for its ...

Eight years is both an eternity and no time at all. Looking back to when we began What The Fur as an idea in 2009, and then bringing it to life in 2010, who would have guessed that we would have made it this far? All of the things we’ve accomplished together, all of the friends we’ve made, family we forged, and memories that will never be replaced or forgotten.

So it is with a heavy heart that I must announce that after we close the doors on What The Fur 2017, after we tear down the stage and give everyone hugs, there will no longer be any future What The Fur conventions.

2017 will be the final year for What The Fur.

We have wrestled long and hard with this, but in the end, this is the best decision for several reasons. I will not go into details on them here, but ...

We have some news!
Saturday, February 25th What The Fur’s team will be holding an open planning meeting!

Staff, volunteers, and people who want to help with this year’s convention are all encouraged to attend. We have a lot of new faces, and look forward to adding many more!
So, again, the date is Saturday, February 25th.
The time will be announced shortly, as will the room, but we will be holding it at the convention hotel, the Holiday Inn Pointe-Claire.

This is it!
We want you!

What The Fur is turning 8 years old in 2017. And we’ve made a lot of progress in those 8 years. We’ve been the first convention to try many things. Some have worked, some haven’t. But as it is our 8th year, we’re on the lookout for new things. New people. New attractions. So we want your help!

We have several staff positions opening up this year, and several teams that need more people. As the convention grows, so does the team. And we want new people who are excited and want to help make the fandom a better place, and to make What The Fur into a spectacular convention!

If you think you have what it takes to join our team, let us know! Send an email to information@whatthefur.ca and tell us what you’d like to do on our staff! Whether it’s helping in a department like ...

With the year 2017 quickly approaching, we at What Thine Fur would like to cordially invite you to celebrate with us! Over the past seven years, members of the kingdom of furry have converged upon the island of the Royal Mountain to celebrate, to enjoy the festivities and to encounter new people. This coming year will be only slightly different.
We would first like to announce that our court has managed to secure the appearance of an artist of distinction and of skill. This artist, who hails from the far away land known as "These United states of the Americas” – such an odd land to be sure – is known far and wide amongst those who share in the love of artwork. He keeps his artistry visible in such places as the Affinity of Fur, on the Art of Deviants, on Tumblr (what a strange name), and various other locales. ...
